Direct once more from Neuner comes the Midland Base Camp. And its EXCELLENT. Quirky and feature packed its madness. Marine Radio, AM/FM Radio, PMR, Marine Band Receiver, wind up handle on the side and external mike (comes with it) flashlight, USB connection, alarm clock and shoulder strap and handle. I am shocked to say, in the first trial (more to come) it is excellent, oh man it works well and I could speak 9km (almost 5miles) easily. Come on Greenfingers Mick, you know you need to get one. More later of this one, but it is indeed something new, different, and when out and about think it will be fine. Modifications?? Not sure now, new board inside but if this could make 2 or 3w then would be so nice indeed. There is a dual band PMR/LPD and a single band PMR, mine is the single band. 8 normal NO CTSS channels and then 9-24 with a mixture of the 8 with different CTSS codes. So, 8 no CTSS, 8 with code 16 and 8 with CTSS code 31. Come on Midland, how do i make mine the dual band version then guys? I know you read here let me know if possible? One of the easiest, and most inexpensive, ways to personalize your hog is to replace the stock headlights with customized models. There are a lot of options that you can choose from to make your hog unique. Choose a headlight model that has the shape, design, lens type and style that you like.

The first type of headlights to look into is a stretched bucket headlight. These lights come with a couple of pattern options including flamed and smooth. In addition to selecting what design you want on your headlight you can also determine what type of lens you want to pair with the bucket housing. Some of your lens options include: Tribar with blue dot, Tribar with black dot and ICE. To put together your headlight you will need to buy the bucket and the lamp separately. The buckets will run you between $150 and $300 a piece and the headlight lamps will run you around $60 a piece.

Your second option for headlights is to select a Russ Wernimont Designs headlight. One option in this design line is the Iron Light-Maltese Cross Headlight. This unique Harley headlight will make your hog stand out from the pack. This is a 3D headlight that comes with the wire harness, plug, a chrome aluminum housing and a halogen bulb. This item lists for about $140. In addition to the headlight kit you will also probably need the RWD swivel mount, which retails for about $22.

Your third option is to select a Joker Series 2000 Rectangle Bilet Headlight. This has a teardrop design, a low profile and a smooth top finish. This product retails for around $350, however, some dealers are selling it below the listing price. This headlight also comes in a ball mill finish.

Telemetry, literally meaning “remote measurement” or remote collection of data is the study and measurement of the transmission of data over certain mediums. Despite the wealth of probable applications the primary purpose of telemetry is automated data collection at a place, which is inaccessible, inconvenient or dangerous, such as satellites in orbit, and relay the data to telemetry receivers on ground where the data is monitored, interpreted and recorded. Telemeter is the apparatus used for recording the readings of an instrument and transmitting them by radio. A telemetry handler, collects, formats and stores the data in a dedicated buffer, and then relays it to telemetry receivers. Telemetry is expected to replace bar coding when the price point reaches an affordable level. Product information can be stored on specialized telemetry tags that will track the product along the supply chain and relay the information to telemetry receivers. Combined with local technology, the company assets can be located at any point in time. Thus, telemetry monitor will allow companies to wirelessly access information and monitor status levels at all times. Telemetry also permits the tracking of endangered land and aquatic species tagged with telemetry devices, in order to get information on their patterns of movement, dispersal and migrations, and habitat use. Telemetry receivers are also used as an aid to understand and identify the natural causes that are linked to habitat conditions of these animals, which in turn alter their behavior, and how such conditions affect their mortality rates. Since the early 1970s, the use of telemetry receivers to provide real time physiological monitoring in coronary care units has become widely recognized. These systems are used for monitoring of the electro-physiological state of patients who are at risk of abnormal heart activity. These patients are outfitted with customized telemetry devices without any other control, except an On/Off button. This device comprises a wireless receiver for the long-distance telemetry and a GSM module. If the patient is suffering from a critical condition, alert messages are relayed via the standard SMS (short messaging system) protocol to the central database, where they are allocated to the healthcare professional in charge of the patient. Back a few years when I thought I was having a heart attack, the hospital attached one of these devices to me to monitor me while I was a patient in my small town hospital. The use of telemetry is wide spread and beyond the scope of this article. Science has advanced greatly in the last 30 years and continues to progress at at great rate.

What Are the Fuzzies you ask?

During what is called the fuzzie period the Bengal kittens usually grow a camouflage that will mute their markings and make them seem not as cute just like cats do in the wild.

When they are first born their markings are just beautiful while they are hidden in their dens by their Mothers then they start wandering out of their protective coverings and then Mother Nature takes over adding in these little white tip hairs that drive us crazy. This is what’s called the “Ugly Fuzzies” This happens between 3 weeks/ 8 months of age.

This hair does fall out leaving behind the most beautiful coat the outlining will darken and the colors will become richer. So for the most part this is only temporary all thou not pretty it would suite its purpose in the wild. So you just have to be patient and wait for their beautiful rich coloring to return in time. These Exotic Beauties Coats are the most unique in the domesticated cat world and are so much fun to watch develop.

In turn it is more of a headache to the breeder of these wonderful cats than it is to anyone else. It is incredibly hard to place kitten in their fuzzies into permanent homes. The general population doesn’t find Bengal kittens in this particular stage attractive there for harder to sell. Some look at it as an adventure as their Bengal changes from small kitten into full grown cat with different variations of coloring along the path.

So it’s not a case of To Fuzzies or Not To Fuzzies its when and how long will it last. It’s all about the twists and turn along the way to the surprise at the very end.
